The novel is of course open to interpretation, but my thoughts are that the theft of worthless trophies from the workplace the book depicts represents something beyond greed for personal power or profit, something as essential as reclaiming the human spirit -- with its creativity, love, inquisitiveness, art, and spirit of play -- from a deadening, violent and increasingly unmanageable economic system.<br /><br />Discuss. Have you stolen anything from work recently?
